| Ograbme02-14-04, 03:55 AM | I'm new to D&D, and am having more trouble than I'd like coming up with good backgrounds for my characters. A big part of this is my lack of knowledge of the D&D world. Other campaign settings, FR and what have you, have scourcebooks that give a nice layout of history and geography, but I am unaware if such exists for a regular campaign setting (assuming there is one). I've seen posts here that allude to Greyhawk being the vanilla D&D world. If this is true, what books can you recommend? If it isn't, then what is? |

| Drindin02-14-04, 04:04 AM | It is indeed Greyhawk. Greyhawk is indeed the regular setting... though, you can make a homebrew, or go out and buy dragonlance or FR. |
