I'm probably not the first one to point this out, but there's more to world than USA and Canada.
How come there's nothing in other parts of the world (let alone Europe) going on during the Gameday? D&D is worldwide, how come the Gameday isn't?

Might I ask what you're basing your assumption on? So far, there's been no list of stores released that're sponsoring the event. Last year, I know they had events at stores across the world, including stores in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and South America. You can still check out the list of stores that participated at http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20060928x

You have your facts wrong there pal. This event will be run all over the world including (but not limited to) USA, Canada, South America, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and various countries in Europe. Last year we had 1200 locations worldwide.

This might be better (it is for this year):

Ahhhh. That would certainly explain where the OP got the idea that the event is for U.S. and Canada only. I wonder if the list simply doesn't yet have the complete details on stores participating in the event? It seems very unlikely that the large number of stores outside of North America simply didn't sign-up this year.

No it is because international offices and distributors manage the event outside the US and Canada and they won't report locales for a couple weeks.

Well, there you are, then. :)

I know I enjoyed last year's event, and I look forward to this year's.

I think I got my question answered, now I'm just waiting for someone to host the event in Poland.
Cheers!

I can assure you that stores outside of US and Canada is running the event. I'm one of the Singapore Co-ordinator (more than one location within Singapore ran, if I'm right) and not only did they acknowledge my signup, I already got the adventure and prizes for the event and Singapore is stated on the webpage as one of the countries that hosted the event last year (also under my supervision)

Somehow our local distributor has suggested, that the date is not interesting for marketing, and they might want to do it not in the local gaming shops but on some closed event for group of children. We have decline DM under such conditons, so I hope they will reconsider this, but I somehow feel really bad about this.

Especially because there are several shops listed and I feel bad for the people who will come there and there might be nothing. (Sounds like worst publicity ever.) We will try to make something on our own (without support) at least somewhere, but I am sad... :weep:
