| NecroticBanana10-08-07, 01:48 AM | if i'm playing a 6th level ranger/4th level druid. do i get an animal companion for each class? or can they stack or what? |
| Salla10-08-07, 01:55 AM | Ranger levels count as half, so you'd get a 7th level companion. |
| penchant11-14-07, 04:08 PM | Yep, that's right. Besides... who would want two animal companions at half the levels? But if you do want more, don't forget the effectiveness of Wild Empaty and Handle Animal. Recruit animals for fun and profit! |

| Awesome_Dude11-15-07, 11:54 AM | i have a friend doing that with trees. he is making a tree army that will make more trees....i swear that makes him more of a tree hugger He's taking some heavy casualties in South America. Send him the word. I actually made a formidable opponent for my group once: A Phrenic Hivenest giant sequoia (a type of redwood), with a murder of crows (Tome of Magic) for the swarm. Imagine the surprise when they were trying to cut down trees, only to have them manifest force screen, psionic dominate, and on top of it all, a murder of crows appears and tries to pluck their eys out. All the while, the trees shoot laser beams at them from every direction. Great times. |
| T_Stalker11-16-07, 04:14 AM | Take Natural Bond if you want the two classes to stack for the purpose of determining animal companion HD. There's also the Beastmaster PrC if you want multiple animal companions. Awesome Dude: that's a nice encounter idea actually. I'll be keeping that in mind. |
