Animal Friendship [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-11-07, 04:26 PM Okay, this is probably a stupid question, but I KNOW there is a spell for druids that allows the attainment of many many animal friends, but I just can't seem to find it, and it would make playing a druid much more entertaining. Where can I find this spell?

12-11-07, 05:42 PM The spell in question is Animal Friendship, which was the 3.0 way for druids to gain Animal Companions. It was removed with the release of 3.5, on premise of it was no longer necesarry, as druids now get their animal companion as a class feature, which is much more effective. Now, the only way to get many animals to follow you around is to use Charm/Dominate Animal spells, renewing as necesarry.

12-12-07, 10:30 AM You can also take the Beastmaster PrC from Complete Adventurer in order to get multiple animal companions (though each additional AC will be weaker, and Beastmaster doesn't advance spellcasting).
