Another SS Druid question [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-01-07, 10:30 PM When my shapeshifting Druid is in his slayer form he gets

one bite and two claw attacks so my question is

When my BAB gets high enough to allow me multi attacks how many attacks do i get?

do i just get one other attack?

and if so is it the bite or claw?

or would i get 2 bites and 4 claws?

also if im a wolf for my alt form can i - once i bite down attempt a trip or grapple?

08-01-07, 10:52 PM Shapeshift gives you only the abilities listed in its description, so no Trip, Improved Grab, Animate Trees, Burn, Whirlwind, Vortex, Earth Master, Air Mastery, any movement modes not listed, etc.

If it says you gain something, you gain that, if it doesn't, then you don't.

As for the number of attacks, attacks with natural weapons do not increase in number due to higher BAB (though the proper use of feats can accomplish this in some cases)

You can still trip or grapple as a wolf...you just have to use the normal rules, without the "real" wolf's free trip attempt.

08-01-07, 11:45 PM Think of Shapeshift as a collection of buffs rather than transforming into an animal.

I've seen wolves, panthers, jackals, dingoes, werewolf hybrids, and more all serve as descriptions of Predator, for instance, but all of them behave exactly the same way.

And natural attacks are never affected by iterative attacks. If you have two claws, you get two attacks at your highest base attack bonus, whether that bonus is +2 or +20. You never get additional attacks that way. You make all primary natural attacks at your full bonus, and all secondary ones (all of them except your single primary attack) at -5. Look into the Multiattack feat if you want.
