The answer is 'no number of 6 year olds can take down a 10th level fighter'. I believe the modifier for a child's STR is -4.

Assuming the fighter doesn't possess any healing abilities or amulets of health a 10th level fighter could have up to 160 HP max. (10's for each dice +6 CON modifier assumes dwarf) a child could only make a single attack and could most likely only hit on a natural 20. On a successful hit they would probably only deal a single pt of damage. While the 10th level fighter could eliminate (without cleave or greatcleave) 2 a round so my guess is 3200. Since each one has a 1/20 chance of hitting for 1 dam, and they need to do 160 hp. Note it could take less since my math did not account for the fact he could only eliminate so many in a round.

Also if unarmored and w/ no DEX bonus the number drops to around 1600.

Depends on how many caster levels each 6yr-old has :P

Almost infinite. Winged Boots + Longbow = no way for children to fight back.

I believe there is a magic item that provides infinite ammunition. Correct me if I am wrong.

If the hoards of 6 year olds just dogpiled the fighter, he could suffocate to death

Just one. Fighter kills the kid easily and gets arrested and sent to jail/executed.

Just one. Fighter kills the kid easily and gets arrested and sent to jail/executed.
Alternate version:

Just one. Fighter looks mean. Kid looks cute. Fighter gives in. Kid gets ice cream and gets to stay up past his bedtime.
