are really stupid, these extreme christains like this person are calling the best game ever, satanist.

Can't wizards shut them down for copyright infringement?

Then again, this guy would probably make a matyr of his site :rolleyes:

His so called proof, saying that d&d is evil, is by linking muderers to playing D&D, I am sorry but this dude needs his head checked out.

02-18-04, 02:14 PM hahahahaha, calm down there. Remember, it's only a hobby, not a way of life. I think you're taking people like that a bit too seriously, if they want to hate D&D then let them, it's no big deal.

02-18-04, 02:17 PM They prove their own ignorance by attributing many things to the game that simply aren't true. Everyone is entitled to be stupid, some people (especially radical religious fundamentalists) just exercise that right more often than others.

I did get a good laugh at that cartoon though. :P Those sort of people are why there's a saying: "It's better to close your mouth and have people think you're a fool, than to open your mouth and prove it."

02-18-04, 02:34 PM I had to put up with that too when I when to a chatholic shcool. I just chaged schools and i found more people who played D&D. Similarly if its magic they call it satanic, the very premise of Shamanic magic i practice is that their is no satan or ihova but they are so damn ignorant they dont accept it.

Sigh. They aren't really being "ignorant" at all - to a Christian mindview, the world is dualistic, there is God and the Devil. They are not a polytheistic people. Ergo any magical power comes from one of two sources. God or the Devil. If you are a Christian, you may be allowed to perform magic ("miracles") through your belief in God. But if you aren't Christian, then your "magic" comes from the Devil, whether you think it does or not.

Sure, they're dead wrong, but you seem to be calling them ignorant while being obviously ignorant of the world view which informs their views, which within that worldview are perfectly logical.
