| Fenrisulven05-29-06, 04:55 PM | Can anyone reccomend a good computer game [like Baldur's Gate, etc] that uses the 3rd Edition rules for the new stuff like skills, feats, etc? I'm an old DM moving from 2nd to 3rd, but don't have a group to play-test the newer system with. Yes, I know the games don't always follow the rule books, but it would be easier for me to catch on to the basic changes this way. Thanks Fen |

Personally, I'm a fan of the HeX Coda modules, which have to be seen to be believed (http://www.pixelscapes.com/hexcoda) (and are really far better than even their own website makes them seem). There's other games based on it, like Dragonshard (an RTS game in Eberron that bears some similarity to Star Wars RTS games in that there's an overland component with armies and an underground "dungeon" component with adventuring parties), and the new Dungeons and Dragons Online (set in Eberron's Xen'drik). I've played neither, so I can't speak on quality. |
