| HappyDragon11-08-05, 11:56 PM | Couple quick ideas.... -A negotiator/diplomat type that gets sent into sticky situations in an attempt to diffuse them in what ever appropraite manner is necessary. -A character that acquires relics for their organization and is still able to uphold their beliefs, (The Five Nations book for Eberron has a really good organization like this for their Silver Flame religion). -An investigator/bounty hunterish type that is able hunt down and bring to the proper authorities certain individuals or organizations that only a chosen few can accomplish. May be able to post more later. :) |
| DeadEye1911-10-05, 02:13 AM | Well, the rogue levels might be there because of special training. The character isn't a "rogue" by definition. He is a paladin, that has been trained to open locks, disarm traps, use magic items and various other specialties that are common with rogues. He is, if you wish, a specialist holy warrior. The problem is, though, that as a paladin, he should not attack unless provoked. That keeps you from using sneak attack in some situations, but hey, it's good for role-playing. Another option is that she started as a rogue, might be good natured, yet not exalted. One of her deeds brought him to the attention of some celestial power- perhaps he saved a cleric, a beliver, or even someone that the power/diety saw as a pure soul. For that, she was slowly given the gifts of a paladin. Those were small, strange feelings she expirienced suddenly, and for her it was unexplainable. She only realized it when some herald (be it a human or an archon) of the great force of good appeared before her and offered her the exalted path, speaking of much potential that with proper care could be put to use for many grander quests of good, offering her the strength, guidance and protection she needs in such a path. Hope you like those ideas. |
