I really doubt it. As a general rule, anime and D&D don't mix.

Seriously.

No offense, but why did you bother just to tell me that?

To prepare you for disappointment?

I'm just saying it's unlikely that it's been done at all, so don't be surprised if you don't get many (or any) responses.

It's not likely anyone has done that. It's unlikely that more than you and maybe one or two other people on the boards would ever think about doing this. But let's see if I can't help.

Check around the other boards. If it's something magic based, check the magic forums and look for threads like "OMG NARUTO JUTSU FUNTIME!" or something. If it's equipment based, try the equipment forums, keeping an eye out for threads like "ZOMG NARUTO AND KATANAS THAT CUT TANKS!" or similar. On second thought, stay away from threads with the word "katana" in them. They get messy.

Or, better yet, try the search function at the top of the page. Look for "Naruto", and you should find a bunch of different threads that might help, or that might let you request someone make you the Seal thingy.

Hope that helps.

A weird combo of Trap Soul, Magic Circle Agains Evil and ... well, I would add a permanent Arcane Mark on his belly. xD

Well, earlier I was thinking about how the Dark Mark from Harry Potter is basically a tattoo version of the Slave Ring from BoVD. That item might not be a bad starting point, since the effect of the Curse seal is at least somewhat similar.

Wrong seal. The Curse seal that the OP's referring to are the seals Orochimaru uses on his minions. It both amplifies the target's power in somewhat arbitrary ways, and coerces the target into obedience. I'm not sure how I'd stat it for D&D, honestly.

I was thinking of it giving you +10 on str and dex at level one, and adds a suitable template to you at 2nd level. Thanks for reminding me bout the slave rings.

Still, you're going to have a hard time finding "converting the curse seal to D&D," because it doesn't necessarily do anything on its own. The Psionic Naruto Builds thread (already linked) might be useful, or it might not. You might also look into playing a Binder, from the Tome of Magic, for a similar "Super-guy trapped inside me givin' me powers" idea.

Well this is what i came up with:

Curse seal
Evil's ultimate sight of allience, the curse seal is tatooed onto a creature, grandting him fightening powers in return for forced loyalty. The most common way to subscribe this dark device is a 2 hour ritual on a willing, controlled or helpless individual. Masterwork tatooing equpment is needed, and the raw materials cost and aditional 2,500 gp. The process drains 100 XP from the administrater.

Once the ritual is complete, the ricipiant of the curse seal must swear loyalty to the creature that gave. Faliure to do so results in the creature needing to make a will save (DC: 18+1 per succesful save) then and every 24 hours after or collapse in terible pain, taking 3d6 damage and being helpless for 6 rounds. Becoming fatugied also demands a saving through to aviod this effect.

Once loyalty is sworn, the bearer recives some of the power locked inside the seal. This is usual a permement +2 bonus to two ability scores. However, the administrater can at will deal 3d6 damage to the bearer as a free action. They may also use the wispering wind spell (CL 5) once per day to communicate with their sevant but the servant gains no ability to reply.

As a standard action that doesnt provoke an AoO, the user may iniciate the seal's first level, unleashing its power into his body. This manifests as a +10 bonus to two ability scores (stacks with the former bonus). During the activation, the curse seal flows across the beares body, covering them in symbols related to its theme. These bonuses last for 20 rounds. After that, the user must either end the seals activities and become fatigued, or go to level 2.

As a full round action that provokes an AoO, the bearer may unleash the full power of the curse seal. This manifests as a tempurary template. This bonus lasts for an hour, after which the user becomes exausted.

Example curse seal:

Seal of Corruption

Appearance: A broken, wobbly circle surrounding 3 black glass shards. When first level is activates, these shards are spread out over the body.

Initial bonus: Strength and Constitution are the states atributed to corruption. Upon swearing loyalty, the bearer recieves a +2 bonus to those to states.

1st level: +10 str and con

2nd level: Gains corrutption template (BovD)

Why are folks cursing seals?

I hope it is not like clubbing them....

Seriously, that title is extremely vaugue. Had to read mulitple posts to figure out what it meant, and even then only had a vague grasp.

Well, you got the underlined part spot on.:P

In response to the other part, yes, anime CAN convert to D&D. But it is not likely to completly satisfy/do justice to the character or concept. It would likely be better to use a more generic system than D&D when trying to make anime characters.

Im sorry, but it not gona make much sense if you havnt watched naruto. A simplification is that a curse seal is a magical tatoo that gives you power at the cost of your free will

Also I would say it changes your alingment; Good to Neutral, and Neutral to Evil unless its stopped by a higher sealer (Like what happened to Anko and Sandaime).

It's worth noting that the Seals that Neji Hyuuga's family bears doesn't seem to do much *other* having than the Slave Ring effects.

Some sort of spell that allows the inflicting of pain at will, to represent what happened to Anko. It would likely grant a spell that enables the caster to take on the Half Fiend template, using the varient of different stats for different demons/devils/ fiends. That would, of course be the level two power. +10? WAY overpowered. Perhaps a +4, as Bull's Strength and Bear's Endurance, as well as either bonus spell slots or power points, depending on what system you use for the jutsu.

What if i reduced the level 1 duration to 10 rounds? then would +10 be valid?

Depending on the level of the power required to activate the ability. For a 2nd level ability it is way too strong. For, say, the equvalent of a 4th level ability, getting closer, as Animal Affinity at that level gives a bonus of +8 to one ability for 8 minutes, so +6 for two abilities seems to work decently. At 13th level, or 7th level abilites, +10 for two scores would work perfectly. It all depends on the most important question: what level do you want this at?

The curse seal has 2 levels: lv 1 and lv 2. THIS ISNT THE CHARACTER LEVEL. Im sorry if i didnt make this clear. As for what level they would recieve it at, its naturally meant for NPC's, and theyd probably ned to be level 10 minimum to get it. Also notice that theu gety fatigued after using it

Fatigued is a fairly minor thing. I know ALL about the cursed seal, which is why I was suggesting Half-Fiend for level 2. And that bonus is still overpowered. Try actually reading my previos post: I wasn't referring to character level, I was referring to the level of the spell you were using to get the bonus. Do you have any idea how much of a bonus +10 is in D&D? Pretty hefty. Besides, the level 1 cursed seal didn't really make Sauske stronger or tougher, it gave him more chakra. In fact, it actually weakened him a little, when he was fighting Akodo Yoroi he was almost unable to complete the Lion's Barrage because of pain the cursed seal had caused him.

When we discussed the Sharingan, you admitted you hadnt watched every episode. I assume this is the case here aswell, tho i might be wrong. in any case once sasuke (kinda) swore alience to orochimaru, the his first level seal put him a league above naruto in taijutsu

I kno that with the corruption seal the character ca get +5 to damage, hit, fort save and and hitpoints perlevel, but only for 10 rounds. +I wanted to make them successive, so thats realisticly one fight. Also, i forgot to mention that it can be used only once per day. Do you still think its over powered? And no ones gona get a curse seal before level 10. Another thing to consider is, which PC would want it? None pratically, so that leaves it for NPC's only.
