I'm limited to playing online. I've found the hunt for interesting games extremely time consuming. My main focuses have been the Forgotten Realms and now Star Wars and I've found the time it takes to set things up, particularly with play by post, to be hellish at times.

I've decided to go the OpenRpg route since this is said to simulate a live experience pretty well. It's popular also so it should increase my chances of finding a suitable game.

I know most here play live, and that that has its own set of problems, I was just curious if anyone else goes through this and if anyone has any handy tips on lessening this annoyance. Thanks.

I am also having trouble finding a group that plays in my area. I haven't tried online play yet. I would be curious to see if it is any easier finding a solid group there too.

The key for me is "solid" as in reliable. I hope something comes along soon too because I would hate think I am wasting time and money trying to get back into this.

Akron, Ohio for those who may ask.

Yeah, I really haven't focused on finding local people because I have only recently gotten a work schedule that has my off days set.

It's probably the way to go, it is how the game is supposed to be played anyway. I think what I'm going to do is focus on finding people to play with in real life for awhile and see what pans out. Finding people online is suppose to be easier, but it isn't, so I might as well change my tactics.
