| bielmic01-05-06, 02:13 AM | hey all, i'm probably moving to the atlanta area in the fall for a new job (not set in stone yet) but was wondering what the gaming scene in the area is like. i play(ed) both rpgs (robotech, rifts, d&d, shadowrun) and miniature games (40k, d&d minis, shock force, vor) and was looking for a store that caters to both. any stores in the area with large gaming rooms complete with terrain for minis games? thanks ahead of time for any and all help. ps. any suggestions are fine since i'm not sure which part of the city or burbs i'll be living in for sure but it looks like the northern to northwestern part is most likely. (anything from buckhead to marietta to douglasville are possibilities) |

About an hour away, you will find the War Room in Buford (which is a better gaming store in my opinion). Other than that, there are several Titan's Games & Comics (3 Atlanta locations) that carry supplies but have no room for hosting games. Hope that helps. |

It has way more space than the War Room, a much livelier and more diverse gaming community, lots of individual cards and minis from a wide variety of games for sale, and the owners are top notch. |

It should be in your general area from around August 31 to September 4. 'Course, that's a good several months away, but it might be a good option if you've got patience of steel. |
| ladyhedgehog02-07-06, 10:08 AM | first off i second the dragoncon plug (will that convention ever get here ???) and then if you go to arbor place mall in douglasville thereis a store there that specializes in mini's and such if that is what you are looking for. |

I drive six hours to be there every year. :D Although I don't get to do much gaming since I volunteer there.... but there's ALOT to do. |
