celestialkin 06-14-07, 03:35 AM	Hey guys. Forgive me if this is the wrong forum for asking this, but I figure the Marketplace section is only for when I want to buy things from other members. Basically, I'm trying to collect each of the "Rarer variations" dice mentioned in the wikipedia article I posted below, but I can't seem to find a site/company which makes, or once made, a 2-sided die. The wikipedia article mentioned something about them appearing in joke dice sets, but I can't seem to find any information on those either. was_fired 06-14-07, 07:45 AM	Any coin works for a d2. If not having numbers makes it seem less authentic you can solve this problem with some glue, paper, and a pen. As for the others, no idea.

Astron the Wizard 06-14-07, 08:41 AM	There was an ad in one of the Dragon magazines for odd-sided dice. They're weighted to be even or something. But as for a d2, what other way is there to show it besides 2 sides? That's really all you can have, unless you want a six-sided die with 3 2's and 3 1's on it.

I have two 2-sided dice. I took them both from other games. I have that is a 4-sider I took from Formula De (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formula_D%C3%A9) (it has some other interesting dice also). The other I took from An Enchanted Evening (http://www.areyougame.com/interact/item.asp?itemno=JH02001&q=an+enchanting+evening), if I recall correctly. The d34 I have I just picked up at a local game shop probably 6 or 7 years ago. You can find them here (http://garysgamesandhobbies.com/main.htm). Chessex (http://www.chessex.com/)and Koplow (http://www.koplowgames.com/)both put out some unusual dice. I hope this helps. I'm a die collector also. I have dice carved from gemstones (5 sets and a necklace), some made of glass, two carved from petrified wood, several plush dice, some handmade from paper, some made of soap, some made of chocolate, some made of pewter, a pair of 6-siders that are gold plated, and some that are dice within dice (d6s and d10s). I still have my original dice from 1979, but they are almost useless to roll. I also have a clock that is uses d6s for each of the numbers that I got at Spencer's Gifts about 3 years ago. Good luck.
Sterling 06-14-07, 09:41 AM	Gamescience makes some wierd dice. (http://www.advancinghordes.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=2&sort=2a&page=2) I saw a d3 and a d5 in there. They also make a d100. Didn't see a d2 in there, though.
SlanderPanic 06-14-07, 10:51 AM	Correction: Gamescience invented the d100. Lou Zocchi, I should mention, is one hell of a nice guy. I hung out with him at a couple of CoastCons in the mid-90s. He's probably one of the smartest people you'll ever meet.

lastknightleft 06-14-07, 04:49 PM	Actually, I would buy a d2 also. I know a coin works fine, but it would be fun to pull out my coin shaped d2 and roll (flip) it instead of saying either heads=1 tails=2 or having a player roll a d4 or d6 and halving or taking 1/3 rounded down
