Yeah, you get a glowing arrow, but the arrow is destroyed on impact, and since you're using Continual Light to cast on the things to make them glow in the first place you're looking at what, 90 gp per arrow, just to have it shatter when you shoot something? You don't even need to use crystals, like I said, just cast Continual Light directly on a normal arrowhead. It has nothing to do with the crystal (actually, its a dragonshard, but symantics) being glowy, its purely the enchantment put on it. And for the record, DDO sucks. It does not represent Eberron in any shape, form, or fashion (well, unless you call horribly beaten and butchered to the point Eberron's own momma doesn't recognize it a form or fashion, that is).

Edymnion 12-25-06, 09:11 PM	And actually, come to think of it, you don't even need Continual Light. By the rules, a full 30% of all magical weapons give off light as a torch to begin with, meaning you could easily get arrows that were already as bright as those everbright lanterns without having to do anything extra to them. :) You could also get Flaming arrows, as they will also provide plenty of light.

There are monsters that receive penalties in light, but it nedds to be very strong light.
Edymnion 12-26-06, 12:05 AM	Yeah, generally speaking, there isn't anything that is actually harmed by light in D&D. Well, other than vampires, but the light produced by these things would not hurt them in the slightest (only actual daylight or light from the Daylight spell would do the trick).
Drucilla_Rocks_my_Socks 12-26-06, 10:49 AM	Drow and ocs get penalties...I think making sunrod arrows (The shaft is basically an enlongated sunrod made with the same balistic characteristics as a regular shaft) would be good for combatin those monsters.
