By this I mean, has anyone tried a campaign where all the PCs are outsiders/aberrations/dragons/fey or what have you and engage in rediculously crazy epic battles with a humorous and cutesy bend?

I've been considering running such a campaign and I could use thoughts on the idea.

If they truly want to be the most random creatures under the sun, I'd suggest dumping the game mechanics and going with something rules-light or even freeform. There's just no point in playing a game with a dragon, an abolet, a nymph, and a black pudding in the same party.

Hm. This gives me an idea on using winged demonic exploding penguins.

Not to forget that those pinguins would have a way to produce an infinte amount of swords (Bottomless Bag?) and be proficient in throwing them. Plus they should have a feat that allows them to throw far more of those swords than normally allowed. Hmmmmm, if they weren't so darn weak, Prinnies would be great ^^

One of my players and I worked together to try to create prinnies once, after everyone got epic, an epic spell would be used to create them, and he would use the leadership feat to grab one as a cohort and some followers.
