| Arcanis the wacher02-25-05, 01:57 PM | Yes, it protects dose it not. |
| Wyrd Bearer02-25-05, 05:43 PM | I'd say no, as Vow of Poverty* is a requirement to be an apostle of peace and the key word you used was 'wield the rod of invulnerability.' Now, I don't know where that rod comes from, so I don't know its rules, but if an ally somehow cast the benefits of the rod on you, you could benefit from it. But I doubt even that would work as you need to be in possession of a rod to benefit from it and you cannot possess magic items. *(Warning, this is rant territory  ) Yes, I know that the description of apostle of peace states that you can wear protective magic items, however, I don't know why. The requirements for the class state that you need to have Vow of Poverty, which means that you SHOULDN'T be allowed magic items at all. I think this just comes down to the usual fact that the developers don't seem to proof-read any supplements (for proof of this, refer to shu-genja's spell list on page xx :D ) and they tend to add arbitrary requirements or change existing ones after the book leaves the author's hands (look at the requirements for the invisible blade class for this). Sorry, I mean, I know they do a hard job, but come on, some things make no sense. |
