Hello all. Perhaps some people have forgotten what to do on April Fool's day when someone post a hoax. While it may make you feel superior to A) recognize a hoax and then B) post that it is a hoax, play along. The more people that coment on a post (that appear to take it seriously), the better the hoax. Playing along even though you know it is a hoax is what makes things truly interesting. As you read through the posts, you don't know as to whether someone is playing along or has been taken in. Speculating at the foolishness or intelligence of posters is way for fun than the instant gratification of posting: hoax.

Thanks for reading and I hope all will keep this in mind for next year.

But if we give credence to your signature, we should interpret this as a request that we in fact identify a hoax, since the rule is that we not do so, and we should all aspire to divinity!

Problem with getting upset over pointing out it a hoax. They either fell for it in the originanl post or the did not. And some so called "good fun hoaxes" people pull if they are not refuted rather quickly turn into rather bad blood.

Edit:
Also there are two parts of the April Fools tradition that you are forgetting
1) After they fell for it you are meant to say "April Fools"
2) It's meant to be bad luck to continue a hoax past noon

If it is a good hoax, people wont notice it.

And if its a great hoax, no one will believe you when you tell them it was a hoax.
