Cobbobles 09-16-05, 03:03 AM	I'm a bit new to D&D...and my players handbook is at my friends house atm...just out of random curiousity (trying to work out a character idea in my head)...does arcane spell failure chance on armor effect divine spells? such as the clerics spells? Or just arcane spells like sorc/wiz? Would seem like a big risk to wear medium/heavy armor if that were the case.
spectralphoenix 09-16-05, 03:19 AM	Arcane Spell Failure only affects arcane spells.This includes sorcerors and wizards, as well as bards wearing medium or heavy armor (bards don't get penalties for light armor.) Clerics, Druids, Paladins, and Rangers suffer no penalty no matter what armor they are wearing. This is why those classes usually wear armor, and wizards or sorcerors do not. Note that if you do want to make a wizard in armor, you will also take penalties for nonproficiency unless you also take the appropriate feat.
