Angus Cotton 07-25-05, 01:11 AM	Quick Question: If I have a character with a longbow, and he loads a +5 arrow, while in an Anti-Magic Shell, then fires it at a monster 60' away outside the shell, what kind of bonus would apply to the characters attack? I mean, granted, the magic arrow is suppressed in the field, but when the arrow leaves th radius of the field, can the arrow regain its +5 then, and thus add +5 to its attack and damage when it hits the target? Tricky

Tricky i would say that there is no bonus to attack since attacking is when you fire the arrow, however since hte arrow is a +5 arrow i would rule that if it strikes a target outside the radius that extra damage would still apply.
windquake 07-25-05, 11:47 AM	Yeah, that makes sense. I would also rule that if the creature outside of the shell has DR/magic, the arrow still would affect the creature, since the +5 is reapplied after the arrow leaves the anti-magic area. -Windquake
Mula 07-25-05, 02:01 PM	I'd actually say you get +5 on your attack bonus, too, since the arrow 'regains' its magical steering properties when it's out of the antimagic area. However, I'd rule that if the bow had the +5 bonus, you wouldn't get the attack bonus - or the damage bonus, either.
