| Boric_G08-17-07, 05:24 PM | Is there some reason nearly all the archived material between January 1, 2005 and July 31, 2007 are missing from the website? Is this the sign of things to come? "I'm sorry, but you must pay through the nose to see that information now." Or are we going to see all 3.0/3.5 related information deleted from the archives? Anyone in the know that can answer this? |

"I'm sorry, but you must pay through the nose to see that information now." Or are we going to see all 3.0/3.5 related information deleted from the archives? Anyone in the know that can answer this? You can stil access them using the seach feature if not googles cache would work if you have the link. |
| Elodia708-17-07, 06:22 PM | I was looking, and I found a link to the old material under the new home page sidebar menu through Home -> Resources -> 3.5 Archives. It can also be accessed through this link. (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/archives) |
| Boric_G08-17-07, 07:11 PM | Thank you both. <huge sigh of relief> |
| DMaple08-17-07, 07:28 PM | Unfortunately that link doesn't help much, all the 2005 and 2006 articles, virtually all but the most recent galleries, all the web enhancements can't be found by that link. The tables that should hold the links are there but they are empty. The actual articles and galleries are there and can be found using the search feature. So I suspect it's just a database problem as a result of the meltdown, as opposed to a deliberate removal, so I suspect they will return eventually. |
| Sylvaroth08-17-07, 07:38 PM | They replaced them so to draw your attention to 4ed. :teach: Why shouldn't they return, it's still 9 months to go till PHB 4.0 hits the boards. |
| Rania08-17-07, 07:58 PM | I'm just wonderin' 'ow the bloody 'eck I log in. To that site. |
| KillerVole08-17-07, 09:09 PM | You can often get old archives using the wayback machine, found here: http://www.archive.org/web/web.php It's how I dug up the old OCR stuff for Star Wars. |
| Wotc_Mark08-18-07, 04:35 AM | We needed to remove the majority of the index that builds the D&D site because of high volume. The links will all return in a few days. Sorry for the inconvience. --MJ |
