| Count Dooku10-28-03, 10:38 AM | Is there anywhere one could go to get 1st or 2nd edition moduals in 3.0 or 3.5 format? Just a big errata page that states "heres the new statistics for the moster on page 23". Or "heres the stats for this NPC". I wish it existed. I really want to run alot of these hand-me-down moduals I got. Rod of Seven Parts and Dragon Mountain box sets. I also got this great Lost Tombs trilogy for Greyhawk (the first one is called the Star Cairs i think). I dont have much time to use conversion manuals and its MUCH harder than people say it is to do it yourself. Any advice? |

They are all fan-made creations that are legally compliant with WotC's module conversion guidelines, and there is some VERY good work done on those products! Look at the main page for "module conversions" and you should find it. As for "official" conversions from AD&D to 3E, there are none, to my knowledge. Good luck! Henry Moderator ENWorld |
| diaglo10-28-03, 10:57 AM | d20reviews.com used to have a conversion forum. however, the rules for the OGL changed about 2 years ago. they removed monsters like the mind flayer, beholder, etc... from the SRD. at the same time, sites removed their conversions. there are fan based conversions on the web. do a google search. WotC, the Official owner of D&D, has none. |
| ORC_Paradox10-28-03, 10:59 AM | To be honest, "do it yourself" isn't that difficult. If the module says there's a red dragon in the cave, then ignore the stats and just plug in the 3e version. And when runing ANY module, be it 1st edition or 3rd edition you HAVE to take the time to go through the material to get familiar with it anyway. :D |
| Count Dooku10-28-03, 11:14 AM | enworld doesnt have many conversions....but the ones they do have are fantastic......THANKS! |
| airhead10-28-03, 11:21 AM | Enworld also has individual creatures that you cannot find in the 3/3.5 MM. See my sig for a link. |
| qstor10-28-03, 04:49 PM | Count Dooku - You'll have to bump up the level of the PC's when using a 1st or 2e adeventure as well. I'm not sure on the treasure conversion. That's a tricky part. Mike |
