Wolfram1 04-27-08, 02:33 PM	I'm writing a story (not D&D related) that features chapters named "the crusader", "the rebel", "the destroyer", "the free spirit", and so on with the "nicknames" of the 9 alignments from D&D...But before using the names I would like to know if these "nicknames" are copyrighted by Wizards of the Coast...I don't wanna be in trouble later =) Thanks!
Escef 04-27-08, 02:41 PM	The titles are all very generic. None of them should be trademarked. And there IS a very important distinction to the difference between a copyright and a trademark. If you ever intend on writing professionally you should educate yourself on it, it may save you some troubles one day.
Wolfram1 04-27-08, 02:51 PM	Thanks for the advice! I sure will :) Altough I was speaking about the 9 titles as a group (because it's sort of a coincidence to find all 9 names in the PHB and also on a story), but as you said...they are generic.
