Are there any Hard Rules about Mounts? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Scout 'n' Mount
05-14-05, 05:19 AM I'm playing a scout in my current campaign, and I want to eventually ride a mount. I'm trying to be stealthy so I want to use some non-standard mount, maybe a cat. How do the rules for that work... training, capturing, etc.... work?

I'm especially interested in size issues... eg. can a Medium creature ride a huge mount, or only a large one?

It's a little annoying, because I've looked around in different books for teh rules on this stuff, but I only find generalities.
