| Witch04-10-07, 02:29 PM | They're different. Which one you should get depends on the version of the game you're playing. Tome and Blood is 3.0 Complete Arcane is 3.5 |
| swallowyersoul04-10-07, 02:29 PM | tome and blood was a release for version 3.0. complete arcane is a revision for the 3.5 rules, plus added goodies and with fixes to a few mistakes. complete arcane is the 'official' version. on the other hand, tome and blood works just fine and you can often pick up a copy for around 5 bucks. |
| ENHenry04-10-07, 02:40 PM | There are other differences: Tome & Blood includes PrC's such as the Blood Magus and the Candle Caster, which I don't think has re-appeared in 3.5 (I could be wrong); Complete Arcane includes the Warlock, which was not in 3.0. The spells from the two are very, very similar; almost every spell in T&B made it, revised, into Compl. Arcane. |

The candle caster didn't make it, but the blood magus is alive and well in the 3.5 CA book. |
| Cromag04-10-07, 05:16 PM | Complete mage and Complete arcane are the two current arcane caster supplements. Edition 3.5 Both are nice and I was not disappointed with them. |
