| Edymnion04-28-06, 11:08 PM | Short Answer: Twilight Enchantment Long Answer: I personally don't allow anything to reduce the ASF on armor. The ability to wear armor has MAJOR benefits, like all of the secondary enchantments other than straight AC boosts, and spellcasters are strong enough as is (all 3.5 did was nerf magic across the board, which did nothing to magic balance), and they need that balancing factor. And really, padded armor is a lousy 5% ASF. Thats the same odds as rolling a natural 1 when swinging a weapon. Its not that bad, and padded armor is a heck of a lot cheaper all around than Bracers of Armor. ASF is not a bad thing. 5-10% ASF is not going to ruin your character, don't be afraid of it. |
