What does it cover, I would like to know.

Is it easy to use with 3.5 books.

Some stuff would be changed into 3.5, but generally it's consistent.

12-31-04, 08:00 PM Definatly not worth buying, maybe rent it from the library and memorize what you want. It is alot like the new races of ..... books, they are nice to look at but they add a bunch of unecessary stuff.

12-31-04, 10:31 PM Well, I haven't bought it but I know there is at least this in the book:

-New weapons and armour, plus new materials (Both inferior materials like bone and bronze and... ferior materials like blended quartz.)
-Vehicles, including dirgibles and a gnomish water elemental powered submarine. This might have made me buy the book but I already have the issue of dragon the section was reprinted from.
-Mundane but useful new equipment, like portable cranes and tents which can be strung in the high branches of trees.
-Details on types of hirelings and stuff.
-New magic items, including some artefacts.

Probably a bit more than that, but as I said, I didn't buy it.

Some of the content is just reprinted stuff, but it could be worth it if you really want some new kit in the game.
There's not much fluff in there to drive the game, it seemed to be all crunch.

Worth buying? Maybe. Probably, if you can get it cheaper somehow.
I'd take a look at it in your Friendly Local Gaming Store first, or borrow it.

If another member of your group has it, it should be easy enough to share it, since you'll only need certain bits of info, and you'll probably end up remembering the capabilities of any items you use.

Man, you need to reexamine your definition of rude. I saw sarcasm, and a nice, polite and opinionated post, but none of them were rude.

Personally, I like the book. I have used it quite often when building my own characters and NPC's, and I especially prefer the section that has actual clothing instead of "Explorer Outfit." Overall, it may be best to buy second hand, but I say its worth having.

01-01-05, 01:10 AM Overall A&EG isn't too bad - at least for ideas. You'll find some things need to be re-balanced, either because they're too good or just plain suck. As a DM, though, I don't mind rebalancing.

The section on vehicles was interesting, and could prove useful. A bit too many specific weapons for my tastes, but overall not bad.

01-01-05, 12:30 PM They go way too overboard on adding new weapons and armor. There's more armor in there than in the core, and most of them border on stupid.

The vehicles are... odd. But everything WotC does that has vehicles in it seems kind of odd.
