Artemis Entreri has the alignment of Lawful Evil in The Forgotten Realms. Yet, in Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, his alignment appears to be Lawful Good. What's up with that? Assassins are always evil, because of the nature of their work. Did Artemis put on a helmet of alignment change somewhere?

Assassins have an evil alignment requirement.

Arcane Archers must be elf or half-elf....yet the arcane archer in BGDA1 is human.

Those games are just hack-and-slash fun.

Like Diablo.

Yes, it was cool play an assassin. My favorite part was sending Artemis (and Borador) in to wipe out the Hands of Glory and Dark Ravens assassin guilds.

However, I found Artemis's personality very phoney. If Artemis was lawful evil, he would've been even more unfriendly (and more mercenary like) than Borador (the dwarven rogue).

It may have to do with some of the events that occurred in His trilogy set of the Dark Elf series...Some of the things may have had a profound effect upon the man...

I wasn't aware Entreri was in BGDA II. How do you unlock him? Same way you unlock Drizzt in BGDA I? Or something similar? I haven't even beaten the game yet, I've had so many other things (things=games) clamoring for my attention.

You can se what he's like in all the short stories. Yes he may not be evil anymore, but I don't think he is really that good either.

True, I have to agree with that.

I don't know which novels or stories have Artemis as a main character. I know he's in a few of Driz'zt's novels, but I haven't read those. I was going on what I read about Artemis in The Forgetten Realms Campaign Settings corebook and from the assassin prestige class in the DM's Guide.

If you beat the game you unlock drizzt and an harder difficulty mode.

Beat the harder mode and get Artemis

Hold it... Are you saying Drizzt is in BGDA II as well as one? I know he's in BGDA I, I got him. So what's up here?

I thought you need to beat the game on extreme to get Artemis? To get Driz'zt, you just need to beat the game (reguardless of the difficulty). Drizz't is cool in DA. However, he's better in DA II. Artemis is the best character by far in DA II. His stealth and high damage rolls make him a true powerhouse.

Artemis got rather disillusioned after his stay in Menzoberranzon (Sp?)... I'd say probably LN for him (certainly not good... unless you wanna count his willingness to destroy Crenshinibon as noble)
