Ask the Wizard? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-02-06, 09:40 PM I've got a question that I'd like to send into the wizard...I think that's what it's called anyway. I couldn't find a submission form on the main page, and I didn't see any way to ask questions on the Skip Wiliams page.

The question I'd like to ask involves killing a helpless opponent, and other aspects of "Fair Combat." This relates mostly to a Paladin's code of conduct. I've read through many forum debates on the subject on Enworld's forums, and the Order of the Stick forums. My question is: Is it an evil act to kill someone you've defeated in combat? If you are attacked and should kill non evil oppenents in combat is that evil? If you are forced into fighting people who aren't evil, and should down them, are you required to give aid (going so far as to expend cure spells and the like on them?)

I'm not interested in player or DM answers, I'd like to be pointed to a way I can ask the wizard, or previous articles I may have missed. Don't take this the wrong way: I've read through a lot of DM and player experiances and rulings already.

That's because Skip Williams is no longer the Sage Advice columnist. Andy Collins have taken over the D&D Q&A column in Dragon.
