assassin stuff [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-20-06, 10:48 AM one of my players wants to be an assassin. i dont know much about the class, but i do have some ideas. i would like to know as much about the class befor adding his requst to my game, are there any web sites i can go to to help me?

I don't know about websites, but there's a great book with information on it, and odds are it's one you already have - the Dungeon Master's Guide. Assassin is a prestige class which can be found among the other PrC's in that book.

02-20-06, 10:44 PM He may also be talking about the Green Ronin class Assassin, from their Assassin's Handbook, but I don't know if it's 3.0 or .5, I may be wrong.

02-21-06, 12:24 AM LoL my DMG was stolen by a player that i no longer play with( for that reson) and i havent gotten around to getting a new one yet, so thats why i havent used it to look up assassins :D

02-21-06, 08:54 AM Bummer dude. I think every DM has their own take on the Assassin PrC, and sometimes these can even lead to some heated debates. Personally I do away with the "Assassin's Guild" in my games, and expand the alignment requirements to include neutral characters as well. I often even allow them to pursue it without any formal training providing they've been using their Sneal Attack ability and experimenting with poison use in-game prior to doing so. It's one of the few house rules that I actually have. I could go into explaining why, but like I said - that's a matter of heated debate and I'd rather not troll. Go with your gut.
