So after completing a long campaign my gaming group decided to do a total blow-off gaming session, and let our DM sit on the player side of the table again. So we came up with a fun idea, to use the random generation lists....to spice it up we added some twists.

Attack of the Level 1's!!!
Step 1: Select a DM who will prepare NOTHING in advance.
Step 2: All players create 4 characters at Level 1.
Step 3: Players number said character sheets.
Step 4: DM uses DMG to randomly roll dungeons, encounters, and treasures
Step 5: Players roll 1d4 to determine which of their 4 characters they start with
Step 6: Play.
Step 7: Upon Character death player rolls 1d4 and next round brings in new character.
Step 8: Repeat steps 4-7 until evening is wasted.

Extra Rules: No intentionally killing off a character if they have used up all their resources (although becoming reckless is not considered intentional death)

It was quite interesting, we would open doors to closets, hallways, even a forest. Since we wiped the tactiles we weren't using even "backtracking" became random.

Plus no one had to feel bad if their character died because they just "respawned".

Fun for a one-shot, not something one would want to do for a campaign.
