ok I have never quit a d&d game but I guess there is a first time for everything ...here is the stich

We have rings that are forcing to catch spirts and we can move beyond 200ft of each other. One of has this evil box giving us nightmares so we cant naturally heal. We have tried getting rid of it but it seems to pop back into that players hands magically dont matter what we do.

We have not been able to find a soultiion to this because every time we try to rest so I can regain my cleric spells we cant because we are attacked.

We all have temp negatvie mods that I could restore but everytime I try to pray we are attacked.

We are alwasy fatigued never getting a chance before we attacked. We are forced into the underdark with no chance of getting out or resting.

Our DM gets mad when he cant hit us or kill us. He is sending stuff at us that we may normaly be able to handle but we cant because we are always in a weaken state because of these limtions. Now we have no chance of getting to a town for supplies or rest forgoting that we have been playing for a month now and havent got a ounce of treasue.

Last time we played he had sumtin like 20 skeltons 20 zombies and 20 ghous sourding us. Forgoting that I was a 3rd level cleric I killed 12 skeltons with a turn check. He got mad and said no u didnt do it.

My friend cant level in druid because of another curse that we never have time to investage because we are alwasy being attakced by monsters.

He introduced new players to us in the worst way possible. We asre in the underdark and one of the players who I dont know is a good guy is trying to pick a door. Drops his tourch as we apporcah. Well I tell our monk to take the tourch away so I could try and find this guy in the dark, any my chartor was hoping it wasnt critter that could see in the dark. I keep asking to show himself. or tell me who he is. I finally found him and tried sneaking up on him so I could grab him not hurt him and we could be a party.

Well instead he blows sumtin in my face that I make a save for. Now My chartor assumes that this guy isnt one of the good guys because of this. Would you?

SO I charge assuming this player is trying to kill us(even though out of game i knew but I cant meta that) So I went to hit him...opps I scored a crit...opps did 18 poins of damgae and enuff to take him down.

So I know out of game i dont want this guy to die so in game I say my chartor is going to mend his wounds and tie him out to ask for questions.

Game goes still stuck in underdark and never getting a chance to rest or heal...3 weeks now.

I could tell my friend was getting annoyed and a lot of the players were to so I am going to do the most insulting thing to a DM. Not go to his game...

His motto coming out of his mouth was you should hate you DM

In short all these games was aboot The DM vs. The players.

I think through carefully deciphering that language that was something close to English but not quite you have the worst DM on earth.

Seems more like your DM likes making the players suffer. Powertrippin DM is what I call it. Quit, the campaign, not the game.

God why would I quit the game...no..no...no I just left his game and yes I do take it upon myself to DM games. I always hear postive things when I DM and enjoy, but just like any other DM they like to be PC's to. I dont get that oppernity to much

Maybe you should talk to the guy and tell him what your concerns are with his DMing style. We've done that on several occasions and found that it clears up "muddy waters" between player and DM.

His motto coming out of his mouth was you should hate you DM

If this is his motto, then he shouldn't even play the game. He shouldn't DM or play. You should love your DM, not because he makes things easy, but because he makes things challenging and enjoyable. If your DM fails that, then he needs to find a better game more to his liking.

I can certainly agree with you on that one. But if this DM is that frustrating then he probably shouldn't be DMing, at least for you. There are other DMs. Has he played in your game?

I dont think your DM has learned every DM's dirty little secret yet. The secret is " the DM is really on the players side".

Well thank you for your support. I also dont like this guy outside the game either. He told my friend he couldnt make a drow chartor because he doesnt like having people having power races as pcs even if that at lower levels..ok fine with us. But his friend comes in with a undergnome...at this point my brain said thats it I am outta of here, popped out of my head hotwired my car and left.

I havent seen my brain for a week now...

I hate to say it, but it sounds like there's no reason for you to game with this person.

You have major issues in game.
You have issues with the person out of game.

I know it's a crappy feeling, and I know also how hard it can be to find players, but if these two conditions continue, there's no reason to keep gaming with him. If you aren't having fun, there's no reason to continue playing.

That said, my advice would be get the group together and go out to eat. Discuss openly and frankly any problems the group is having. Lots of times this works wonders.

That's the worst DM I ever heard of.
Ok, here's what you do. Take all the other players with you, and beat the $h!T outa him! IF he still wants to play after that, he'll change.

The DM you are playing with has definite issues with his style ----- but -------- these issues can be solved in-game with talented & creative players. The DM only has the power to keep the game going. I have played with Killer DM's before & trust me ---- the players can frustrate DM's as well as destroy his plans for adventures with the slightest effort. Be creative ----- quitting is not the answer.

Revenge is!!!!
