I'm not exactly sure what this would fall under, so I placed this thread here.

Does the Bardic Ability Inspire Courage (Su) (+X to damage) get multiplied by the critical multiplier, or does it fall under the definition of 'sneak attack' or similar effect?

The RAW says damage over and above what the weapon does itself is not multiplied (which would include bardic bonuses). Many DMs houserule that it is, because melee classes can generally use the help to keep up with spell casters.

From the SRD... (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatStatistics.htm#multiplyingDamage)

Multiplying Damage

Sometimes you multiply damage by some factor, such as on a critical hit. Roll the damage (with all modifiers) multiple times and total the results. Note: When you multiply damage more than once, each multiplier works off the original, unmultiplied damage.

Exception: Extra damage dice over and above a weapon’s normal damage are never multiplied.
Emphasis mine.

In short, everything but extra dice, such as those granted by Sneak Attack and the Flaming weapon property, is multiplied.
