One of my first and greatest adventures was very standard yet unexplainebly fun. Well, there was a great evil empire, and, needless to say, theres a rebellion. So my friedn and I, him bieng a 12 year old human sorcerer {dont ask} and me bieng an elven ranger, are only hope was to get to the rebellion to restore peace to the land. yes, it screams !!STAR WARS!! but it was still fun. Are first battle was a clash with this messed up witch who seemed to have an endless supply of teleportation spells, making it extremely hard to kill her. I got her with entangle though, while my friend nailed her many times with a fireballs. The rewards we got for the fight were a closet full of magic items, and I must say, the DM was bieng mighty generous that day. I got a nice elven longsword of grace, a cloak of the forest, amulet of intelligence and a nice shiny dagger. My half-elfs name was Barab. My friend the mage was named roxas {again, it would do the world good just to ignore his strange habits} and got many new scrolls like web, acid fog, magic armor, and a few more good spells. He also god a staff of deception, which was a nice touch. Are epople were happy. :)

My friend and I once stole a good sized warships, through nothing but clever bluffs and trickery (sneaking onto the boat and yelling "HELP! HELP! FIRE!!!")
Once everyone was off the ship, and we were making our gettaway, they noticed the lack of smoke that ussually accompanies a fire, so thier Wizard blasted a ship with a fireball.
Luckilly we were CN, and NE so we went down to the cannons and fired upon the crowd of people who invitable were gathering 'round, and my friend rolled a natural 20, followed by a 19 and blew up a good portion of the harbour.
My character then bailed out and hid in the water for a while, while things cooled down, and he went running through the streets bieng chased by guards for mostly the remainder of the session.:D

Well, one time the planes were being invaded by nazi gnomes in mechs...

...What, you need more than that? :D

My halfling swashbuckler/duelist got his hands on a combat mech...One of the great days of his life.

(After his death, he ended up on the good-aligned 'Endless Plane of Battle' - The one where you resurect if you die in battle and can eat all you want (Forgot the official name), which pretty much says it all)

Those gnomes were far too clever and dangerous - Unfortunately, we were only able to fight them to a standstill. Still, some great planer scenes, including the invasion of various heavens and hells (In the treaty, we left out the hells - We figured they were welcome to each other).

I think that was it. He wasn't a 'psycho halfling', but he did like to fight.

My character was a young farm boy raised in a rural area by his aunt and uncle, but who dreamed of joining the local rebellion that fought against the tyrannical empire that controlled all the land. Discovering a halfling rogue and an elf diplomat who were carrying a plea for help from a captured princess (and leader in the rebellion), the young hero learned his destiny from a crazy old wizard who lived in a nearby wasteland. Vowing vengeance after his aunt and uncle were killed by imperial guards looking for the two rebels, my hero vowed to learn the ways of ancient power and become a great warrior, defeat the evil empire and restore peace and justice to the land. Discovering his father was also a great warrior, the crazy old wizard gave my young hero a brilliant energy longsword which he soon learned to wield-

My last Dnd game, I was an rouge and the rest of the part were different classes. But anyhow, we went into an town and had some very interesting misadventures.

Here is a transcript of 2:

Act 1: BOW!!!

John (bard) walks up to an villager.

John (Bard): Rolls 20 on diplomacy check Something else happened but I forgot.

John to villager: "I am your god, Bow before me!!! Give me your house!!!"

Villager (trembling): "Oh yes, my lord!!!"

Villager gives over key to house and other stuff.

John: Now I cast aids upon you!

OOC:

Fegi (warrior i think) to DM: Is that even a real spell?

Dude (DM): "In all seriousness, no."

John shrugs: "The villager doesn't have to know that!"

We all laugh.
---------
Act 2: You might be a Redneck...

We are all in an raft going down an river.

Person in Forest: We hear several cords of music (guitar).

DM: Turns on a music player to show us what it sounds like.

John: "What the f*** was that?"

Forest: Another lower sound (banjo) plays back the cord.

Music continues to play.

Me (thief/rouge): "sounds familiar... but from where?"

Turns into an lively tune.

Vincent (I forget): Horror crosses his face. "Oh ****! Paddle faster!!!!"
---------------------
OOC: Can you guess what tune was playing?
I'll give you a hint: http://youtube.com/watch?v=esl2NNOtHQE
The first part of the song is the cords, but go to 2:23 for the lively part.

If you do (or don't) figure it out, you'll soon find out what happened.

I call my contribution to this thread, "Fun With Command."

See, back in the day, you weren't limited to a certain list of commands. Anything you could express in one word, you could Command someone to do, so long as he could do it in one full-round action if he was really trying.

So this one time I was trying to be a jerk and steal all the treasure from my party (playing a CE rogue/sorc). So the Cleric, who had just escaped from the tavern that I set on fire with him in it, casts Command on me while I'm invisible. And surrounded by guards, who can't see me.
"Disrobe."
The guards feather with arrow the spot where all the clothes are suddenly becoming visible. And three hours later, a naked corpse feathered with arrows becomes visible in the middle of town.

Fast-forward about a year, I'm playing with some friends of mine from HS. I had a +2 keen crystalline (+1 threat range) double-scimitar, back in the day when keen and imp'd crit still stacked like they ought to, so I have a threat range of like 7 or better, two-weapon everything, and I'm just demolishing everything I can get my hands on, even though I'm mostly a diplomat in build.
So the DM puts in this slobbering barbarian with an adamantine greatsword, specifically to Sunder my precious crystalline weapon (which was a gift from Bahamut when he basically bought my soul for the cause of good and law).
Our party's Barbarian goes up against him, gets his greataxe Sundered, and is about to get his tail handed him next round, when a level 1 NPC Cleric casts Command on the slobbering enemy. Who botches his Will save.
"Give."
So he hands our Barbarian his Adamantine greatsword, and promptly finds himself coating the walls an inch thick.

That was almost as funny as I the time I used Battering Ram to rip a half-fiend gnome's wings. Then used Greater Slide to fling a summoned polar bear out the window at him. Then my friend set off an explosion that dropped his stalactite tower on him.

Hmm... let's see... Then there was the time we wasted nine hours sneaking around inside a castle playing pranks on the guards, only to realize afterwards that those guards were our allies and we had no reason at all for going to that castle.
