| Alcari Ambaron09-21-05, 03:49 PM | I hear a lot people talking a battlemat to lay out combat easily. just one question remains. What is a battlemat? |
| Irr'vraen09-21-05, 04:02 PM | Battlemat: noun. definition: a battlemat is basically a large board that's all graphed out, giving the DM freedom to visually describe surroundings on it rather than having to explain sizes and geography to the players... I think... I know that playing the game with minitures and tiles makes it a hell of a lot more fun when my group plays! |
| Tribune09-21-05, 04:25 PM | The 3.5 DM Guide comes with one in the back. |
| Starlight Knight09-21-05, 07:18 PM | The battle mat is one of the very few things I liked about 3.5 For most of the rules, I still love first and second edition best. |
| Wookie112009-21-05, 07:25 PM | my battlemat is a large wet/dry erase.... mat with a grid on it. I don't know what material it is made of, but it takes up most of a good size dinner table and rolls up for easy storage. It makes combat and mapping both so much easier. A very good investment in my opinion. |
