03-25-07, 07:22 PM I was curious if anyone has tried converting "The Bride" played by Uma Thurman into a D&D character.
Any hints as to what her stats and possible class and feats would be?
I assume her sword is a masterwork weapon.

03-25-07, 09:12 PM Well, the exploding heart technique seems to be functionally similar to Quivering Palm, so that means at least a 15th level monk, rounding things out with some amount of fighter levels.

03-25-07, 10:17 PM i haven't really seen the movie, but from what i have seen, she's some sort of monk/fighter/dervish. definitely dervish..

Or, she isn't built with D&D in mind and has her own special class that does that at level 4 or 5(nothing in the movies says she needs to be over level 10)

Cold be an Assassin's Death Attack, too. She may or may not be evil, that's not a discussion I care to get into, but it is similar. Though she's not Lawful, either. :D

03-26-07, 07:22 AM I'd say she has some sort of Death Attack that takes a full-attack action and puts the target down to -9 HP. They didn't have healing in the movies, so the technique itself might be counterable in D&D. Especially because it basically just deals damage to the heart.

I'd say she's Neutral Evil. She has specific people she's after, but has no qualms about killing anyone that stands in her way. She could fit Chaotic Evil, too.

Monk, ninja or rogue for base class.

Sudden strike or sneak attack can work just as good as quivering palm if the opponent isnt prepared for it.

I really wouldn't call her that monkish. She did train for a few years with Pai-Mai, but she always fought armed.
Probably ninja would be a good start - she was an assassin.

Using core:
Absolute minimum:
Ability array Str 14, Dex 15, Con 10, Int 11, Wis 12, Cha 8
Monk 1 (1 flurry attack, d6 unarmed damage, Stunning Fist) 1st level feats: Two-Weapon Fighting, Improved Initiative
Fighter 1: Martial weapon proficiencies. Feat: EWP(katana)
Rogue 1 (Sneak attk +1d6) Feat: Weapon Focus(unarmed)

At 3rd level, she's decent at swording as well as having all the pieces of the exploding heart technique, which would go like this. Let's assume fractional bonuses are allowed, allowing for a BAB of +2.
Round 1: Stunning fist (attk +5, 1d6+2 dmg, Will save DC 12 or be stunned)
Round 2: Unarmed TWF+flurry (attk +1/+1/+1, 2d6+2/2d6+2/2d6+1 dmg)
