The WotC sheet includes lots of room for multiclass features but no room for spells. They're continued to be released with class skills checked for each individual class without caring that you don't need to track rages as a rogue. They have no support for alternate systems (psionics, incarnum, pact magic, shadow magic, truenaming, martial adepts) and are oddly spaced on the areas they DO have support for. Meanwhile, Ema's sheets are custom-buildable for any booksource available, and the Mad Irishman's can be relayered to support any variant ruleset from Unearthed Arcana. Ema's includes lots of specific form information, MI's includes lots of blank space that can be adjusted for anything your character needs (Not using psionics? Got more room for spells!). It's amazing how poor WotC's sheets actually are. However, I'm not outraged at them at all, since they're available for free. I just compare them to other free sheets, which happen to be just plain better.

My campaign world is not flooded with Alternate classes or Prestige classes from every D&D book! Some campaigns are just the players handbook classes and perhaps a few from other sources such as the Complete Adventure.
Tempest Stormwind 04-12-07, 06:57 PM	Try the other sheets out -- you'll see what I meant. They are superior to WotC's even in a core-only environment. It's not a matter of WotC's being tailored to individual classes -- it's a matter of the sheet being plain better in all objectivity.

balor64 04-12-07, 09:44 PM	I prefer the one in the back of the PHB, 4 pages seems unnessesary. Who needs that much room for HP or EXP? Why reprint the skill synergy table? You only need it when you're leveling up and are looking through your books anyway. Why make the spaces so large for power points per day, rage (the entire section), carrying capacity, base attack bonus, and initiatve modifier? Why even have a section for turn/rebuke undead? Unless you reprint the table, you'll still have to look it up in the book. If you remove/reduce all of that unnessasary stuff, you could easily be down to 3 pages.
Zyrusticae 04-12-07, 10:23 PM	Which is why I prefer Mad Irishman's character sheets. They're configurable for different types of characters, and you can even omit the biography page entirely if you don't use the Unearthed Arcana flavor rules (taint, sanity, and so on) - although I don't see why you would want to, seeing as how, with an even number of pages, you can just print a page onto both sides of a sheet.
