Like... what? I'm going to assume that you're asking me the best min-max deity.

Good as in game-breaking power? Good as in utility? Good as in what?

We also need reference to a campaign and how you're looking to roleplay a cleric.

Some deities offer good domains, some offer not-so-good domains. Others might have a really good domain selection but be such psycho hose beasts or whiny babies or attention-demanding clingypants that your party will consider smashing your brains in with a warhammer. Some domains are not for everyone; the luck domain has a very nice power and an extremely sweet 8th level spell, but you would not want to suffer through 14 levels of getting a mediocre spell list. The illusion domain will have you riding high for the first levels but slacks off in the benefits it gives.

On the other hand, sometimes domains will conflict even if they hand out really good spells or domain powers. The travel and trickery domains, for instance, complement each other very, very nicely. When one domain gives out a crappy domain spell for its level, the other domain gives out a really good domain spell. The war domain is a really sweet choice ONLY if you have a domain that offers spells that you almost certainly want to prepare every level (like, say, plant). If you get it paired up with a domain that has a poor spell list (like, say, healing), you will suffer.

A good rule of thumb is to select a domain with a really good power (like, say, destruction) with a domain that has a really good spell list (like, say, protection).

If you like turning undead, Pelor is a good choice.

The Radient servant of pelor prestige class (dragon #283) lets you perform a greater turning every time you turn undead, instead of just once a day (assuming you have the sun domain) and lets you apply empower and maximize spell to all spells you use from the healing domain.

Pelor: Sun and Healing domains

oh and the class stacks for turning purposes and caster level as well.

The Radiant Servant is one of the most overpowered PrCs that's been produced so far.

While there have been many PrCs that really failed to give any meaningful abilities, that little monster gave far too many.

Before you choose a diety for a cleric, you need to know what kind of campaign you're going to be playing in (just like a ranger's favored enemy).

Well...I was actaully looking for some serious fire power...After all the campaign we are playing is to against a corrupted deity (self create one ^_^) by trying to find ways defeat her or restore her to her sane self...and later removed the blockage that she place on the realm over divine power...(P.s: In this game all cleric has to -1 spells slot)

The game consist of a mix of oriental advanture, a bit on forgotten Realm, planes, BoVD, BoED...

My group consist of a human druid (14), a half elf sorcerer (14), a barbarian dwalf + bear) (10)

By the way what do you think about the pleasure and Good as domain? Is it a wise choise?

Marduk, of course
Who is Marduk you might ask? Why, he is also known as Gilgamesh in Babylonian mythology. His domains are Glory, Sun, Destruction and War. And his favorite weapon is the bastard sword.

"Marduk is the Sun God that dwells inside of me. Marduk; son of Ea; grandson of Anu; slayer of Tiamat; guardian of the sweet water sea... Marduk desires not the barren wasteland of your desicated visera..." - based off of Stormy from Sealab 2021

just a freindly reminder, clerics do not have to worship any specific diety. you can worship general good, evil, law, or chaos and then have domain based on the specific PC

Not in the Realms you can't. In Greyhawk you can.

In Greyhawk you can not.
At least not in the Living Greyhawk campaign.
The "default" campaign of the Core rules is not actually Greyhawk, just a source of names.

Actaully I am playing Greyhawk but I think being an exalted cleric you need a god...I think it was stated in the BoED... ^_^

By the way I can't find this Marduk deity Levism84 has suggested...

Marduk was never presented in 3E. Although I dislike statting deities, I would make him a Greater God.

As stated above, Marduk was one of the most important gods of the Babylonian Pantheon, and the patron deity of Babylon. He was sometimes assosiated with the Summerian demigod-king Gilgamesh.

You can download Legends and Lore from the WotC site. I think it has 2E information on Marduk. The 2E god books where much more detailed than the 3E ones, however, so you will be able to find lots of flavor text.

I made my own stats for Marduk in the Deities and Demigods version of this message board. You might still be able to check it out.

Marduk was the God of the City, and was reverred by all urban dwellers. The hero-king Gilgamesh worshipped him, just as most kings did. He was important in early creation myths, because he slew Tiamat, who in the myth was an evil creator born of chaos (the battle sort of determined whether good or evil would be the ones to create the world - goodness won).

When I did my version of Marduk, I changed him a little to D&D-ize him. He works as a good deity for Lawful Good clerics.

If this is a world created by the forces of good, then I'm over to the dark side so damned fast.
