I'm not sure if I'm just not looking, or if the board is without search capability (too many posts maybe?). I was wondering what the best music people have found to enhance the D&D gaming experience. I am partial to some of the Midnight Syndicate CDs as well as Conan, LoTR, and many game soundtracks (Diablo 2, WoW, Morrowind, Oblivion). I know there's got to be a ton of stuff out there that I'm just not privy to. What say you? |

What say you? there have been tons of threads on this (try the search above), but in truth you can use just about anything depending on the circumstances. However things without lyrics (or without audible/comprehensible lyrics) are usually preferable |

Low and in the background, always Soundtracks: Lord of the Rings Soundtrack [Any or all three movies] Final Fantasy 7 Soundtrack [Selected tracks] Albulms: Demons and Wizards "Touched by the Crimson King" (Don;t have any other albulms) Evanescence "Fallen" (Haven;t heard their new albulm yet) Finn MacCool "Sherdannah's Hand" Artists: Loreena Mckennit Darby DeVon and, of course, the Imperial March is always great for introign BBEGs. edit: I;'ve vound lyrics/vocals can actually add... maybe its jsut my style, but i don;t usuallyfeel as DM that i have to talk over them. i just set it in the background for tone and let snatches of the lyrics that may be caught help set a tone. no trouble yet |
