Ok, so I remember reading, SOMEWHERE, I can't remember where exactly -- I'm pretty sure it was in a book or web enhancement, this bit of info/flavor, and was looking for it again but can't find it for the life of me! It was about two merchant familes who were at feud for something or another, and one ran a coin-making business and the other was in precious mineral mining. The one family had just obtained a crystal ball and was using it to send mercenaries to ambush the other families caravans, in hopes of causing them to go under so they would win the "war" between the two families. Anyone have the slightest idea what I'm talking about and where I can find it again? Thanks! ____ Aha, it was a sub-area in a d20 supplement thing -- Book of Taverns!
