Bonus spells? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-29-06, 04:41 PM The PHB doesn't seem very clear about this. With the bonus spells one gets via your ability score, is that a bonus to spells per day or spells known?

08-29-06, 11:35 PM From the Player's Handbook (3.5 ed.), page 54: ". . . he gains bonus spells per day if he has a high Charisma score."

Later, same page: "Unlike spells per day, the number of spells a sorcerer knows is not affected by his Charisma score; the numbers on table 3-17 are fixed."

Seems pretty clear to me.
