frisbeet 10-17-06, 03:05 AM	Post your must reads here. Include book report if desired. I just finished David Keck's In the Eye of Heaven and was blown away. Fantastic, gritty, erudite, exciting! If you like jousts and chainmail, if you want a great descritption of medieval combat in a fantasy setting, this book is for you. Stands on its own though I understand he's working this into a trilogy. In contrast, I've grown less enamored with the Robert Jordan epic. Writing isn't as good though underlying fantasy ideas are superb--but perhaps too overpopulated. IMO, of course.
Blade Master 10-17-06, 03:12 AM	Check out "The Lies of Locke Lamora" by Scott Lynch. It's a bit more Renaissance than some fantasy, but it's a good time.
