Echo_that_Pains 07-20-06, 10:28 AM	Hey all. Im new to the boards and have a question regarding the books and the information held theirin. I wasnt able to find a suitable place to post, so i am going to try it here. I am looking at purchasing all of the *core/accessory* books that i am currently missing. I have not played DnD for some years, and now coming back i have a bit to catch up on. My question is this: Is the information that was in previous books in the new books under 3.5 rules? Some of the books i am missing include Sword and Fist, Song and Silence, etc. I see that many of the PrC's are in fact carried over to the new books (Complete Adventurer, Complete Warrior, etc) but i was wondering if ALL the PrC's, wonderous items, feats, weapons, etc were carried over as well? If everything was carried over, then i will not worry about purcasing the older books, otherwise there was a lot of material in them that i would still like to use. Does anyone have any information regarding this?
crumpton23 07-20-06, 10:51 AM	There isn't a simple answer to this. Some prestige classes, spells, feats and magic items were converted from 3.0 to 3.5. Several of the ones that did make the conversion were modified to greater or lesser degrees (and some not very well). There is a lot of new content in all the 3.5 books. In general they are much better than their 3.0 counterparts. Of course it can be very expensive buying all the new books, but most of them are worth it if you do a lot of gaming. If you can find someone with the "complete series", I would recommend looking at them first.
