Hey, I was posting on a thread, and I saw someone mention a book called "The book of feats" I googled it and found no such thing, but I did find a book called "Ultimate Feats" Is this what was probably meant? It's D20, and has something like over a thousands feats listed. It is however not cheap, running around 40 bucks. Is it worth it?

I haven't seen a single book that is a comprehensive list of feats. Sure would be nice, but i suppose at the rate new books come out it would be obsolete in no time.

There are a few feat books out like this.

Honestly, they don't think out there feats very much... Some of them are really cool though...

Personally, with 4th coming out, I'm not buying ANY 3.5 material. If you're going to keep going 3.5 it's a cool thing to have.

Great, this is what D&D needs...more splatbooks, sheesh. Don't have the imagination to come up with your own stuff such as new Feats in your campaign??? Just buy this book for $40 and have someone else do it for you...

You were possibly hearing talk of the 'Netbook of Feats', a free online resource that's been around for a long time. They have a database of feats that are all rated for use in campaigns.

In my opinion, no, because it really comes down to playtesting. "Official" feats have all been through a vetting process, at least a little bit, and some consideration has been given to how they interact with feats from other official sourcebooks. Even then, you find the occasional lame, boring, broken or useless feat. A third party book filled with hundreds of feats will just magnify this effect, and I don't see how they could have thoroughly playtested or considered the implications of every one of those feats. As a rule, I usually stay away from third party publishers for rules crunch and look to them more for setting and fluff. Check it out though - your mileage may vary.

So then, has anyone heard of "The Book of Feats"?

And does anyone know where to find a copy of it?
