Books in eBook form? [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-19-04, 09:23 PM I carry around a PDA and read a lot from it. Is there a place I can go to get the 3.0 or 3.5 version of DMG, PH, MM etc in eBook (electronic) form. I own the books, but don't want to lug them around anymore. Thanks for the info.

PS. I remember when I bought the official DM tools software back when version 2 was new, all the books came with it ion the cd. Is there something I can get like that?

06-19-04, 09:35 PM Try the SRD. I've got it on my pda. Books are still better, but it's nice to have it in my pocket.

However, the 3.5 SRD I have linked is a user friendly web version. You'll need to get the .rtf files of the 3.5 SRD off the WotC site for easy PDA transfer.

I would pay for them if WoTC made them available (though ebooks should never cost as much as the hardback, i.e, no materials cost, manufacturing cost, shipping, handling etc.).

Problem is, lots of people wouldn't, and would just pirate them.

Therefore, if people want to pirate, they will get it, regardless, and WoTC is out the dough. In fact, I saw them on some peer to peer programs, but chose to purchase the hardbacks. I guess I still have morals. Anyway,
