Starchaserva 07-13-06, 06:45 PM	I was recently surfacing the producs page of the WoTC website, and noticed again some of the future releases, most notably Complete: Mage and Tome of Battle. So far, we've had 2 Player's Handbooks, 2 Dungeon Master's Guides, 4 Monster Manuals, 6 books in the Complete Series (Arcane, Mage, Divine, Adventurer, Warrior, Psionics) 3 Environment books, and general source books for Demons, Devils, Lizardfolk, the Undead, among many other things. I was thinking, what else could they possibly produce next? That's what I'd like to ask, what do you think will be released later this year, and what would you want to be released. Personally, one thing I think I'd like to see is an update on the stats of some of the more famous characters in D&D. Jarlaxle, Artemis, Drizzt, in addition to some stuff from some of the older novels. Other than that, I would like to see an update and expansion of the old Town Builder/Stronghold builder, or maybe even the Arms & Equipment guide. I think my ultimate choice would be a complete revamping of the Arms and Equipment Guide, in the vein of the Spell compendium. Take all of the stuff from the original guide, update it, and then take all of the weapons, armor, and equipment from all the non-PHB books, and just make a huge 250 odd page compilation.

Draconomicon is 3.5, and the ELH is contained (mostly) in the SRD, so it's as good as. Deities and demigods I don't know about, I think it's still 3.0
Sinaz 07-13-06, 08:01 PM	I was trying to come up with a pointless stab at being clever when I kind of usurped my intentions and asked myself a serious question... Do you think they'll eventually release a d20 system v.4?
Starchaserva 07-13-06, 08:13 PM	Honestly? Yes, I think they will. They've got a pretty good thing going with 3.5, and they don't seem to be slowing down with the production of new material (or updating older stuff), even if some of it isn't mindblowingly awesome. Think, since it's inception, there have been like five or six updates to the system. Dungeons and Dragons. Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2.0 (and to some 2.5) D&D 3.0, and now D&D 3.5. That's a lot of versions. I think they'll stick with 3.5 for a long time, and at the max, maybe a decade until we see a fully realized 4.0
