books i want to see:

-Book of the Planes --> books that focus on the planes. i know hardly anything about Mechanus, the Beastlands, Gehanna (or something) and alot of other things. WotC should make seperate books about them (something like Fiendish Codex). it won't make alot of money, but it sure keeps alot of players happy.

-Magic D20 --> a book about Magic: the Gathering. creatures (preffebly: Kavu and Slivers), classes and spells.
it shouldn't be too difficult. MtG and DnD are made by the same company (WotC). so whats the problem.

-Pokemon D20 --> i just like the pokemon themselfs.
this also shouldn't be a problem. WotC made the TCG. so a RPG would be great.

-Final Fantasy D20 --> it would be worth waiting for it (i hope). i would like to see alot of monsters. maybe some maps, NPC and classes.
could be a big problem.

- books that make computer games playable for D20 (like the GTA series).

couln't think of, maybe later.
i know alot of them are already done by post'ers here, but i would like to see some official stuff (book bound).
give some more (serious) ideas.

Consolidated Prestige Class Compendium: 320 pages of the best.
Feat compendium: hopefully taken care of in the Rules Compendium.
A sourcebook for ruling domains and waging large scale warfare, including a quick battle resolution system. I don't think Heroes of Battle or Power of Faerun systems are quite right; I favor something more like the Rules Cyclopedia system, but want more detail sometimes. I want a system for when the players decide to stop doing small adventures and raise huge armies and take over the world. Sometimes the battle isn't just a backdrop for an adventure, and sending a small team into the enemy commander's camp gets old after the sixth or seventh city, when all the PC's really want is to enlarge their borders to move on to the next city.

Aquatic Adventures
Not Stormwrack, with most of the action above the water. Aquatic, with all of the action below the surface. Give us rules, mechanics, and even fluff on how to run an entire adventure or campaign beneath the surface of the waves.

Id be a fan of prestige class, and feat compendiums as well.

I think i could go for a pirate conversion book that wasnt stormwrack. I wasnt a fan of it.

Id also like a norseesq conversion. Basically something dnd that totally rips off norse mythology without saying they do. Sort of like sandstorm and dune.

I don't think he means a manual of the planes, I think he means a seperate one for each plane (or at least the good ones). Either way I think that's a great idea. Especialy Mechanus.

A new ELH :weep: .

A new savage species with detailed rules for level adjustments and revamping of weaker LA races.

A book on the far realms.

A book full of fighter only feats.

A new epic-level handbook. I know, I know, there's probably not enough demand for one, but I'd certainly buy it.

Complete Psionics. (They one they already made wasn't Complete, and only the slightest bit Psionic)

Draconimicon (I think its still technically 3.0) I loved the book, and I'm sure there's more they could do with it.

Claws and Teeth. A book that emphasizes fighting with natural weapons. Something like that would be interesting in the least.

Clockwork Creations. A book that focuses on mechanical items of great value, and are still useful at higher levels. It could have traps, weapons, vehicles, and misc. gadgets.

I don't think he means a manual of the planes, I think he means a seperate one for each plane (or at least the good ones). Either way I think that's a great idea. Especialy Mechanus. There's also the Planar Handbook, but I know what you mean ...

Draconomicon (I think its still technically 3.0) I loved the book, and I'm sure there's more they could do with it.It's technically 3.5 since it was published after the release of the 3.5 core rules.

I'm with Seeker95 - I'd like to see an Environment book focusing on undersea adventures. I've got a player who's really keen to do one, and I think it could be fun. It would have to address things like depth, pressure, density, undersea volcanoes, the thermocline ...

I'd also like a feat compendium to go along with the spell and soon-to-be-released magic item compendiums. Amazon.com has a listing for a 'rule compendium' ... I wonder what that will be?

What I'd like to see more than anything else, though, is a book on low-magic campaigns -- whether it's a general guide book or a specific low-magic campaign setting. There's too much reliance on magic for my taste these days ... the prevailing attitude around here, especially, is that you should be able to walk into any town and find a shop that will sell any magic item in the DMG ... Too often I see people asking for help with a problem and the answer they get is "Just get X or Y magic item". Even if it were that easy, I don't think it ought to be.

Monster Manual V (that doesn't suck).

I dunno...something expanding on Tome of Battle, maybe? I mean, it's a nice system and everything.

Complete Warlock (I can't be the only one here who wants to see that, can I?).

I think books that focus on each of the different schools of magic would be kind of neat (you know, Book of Abjuration, Book of Necromancy, etc).

Something that makes real-world pantheons into usable D&D material (a la Deities and Demigods).

I would like to see a book that goes over all the other books and combines them more smoothly.

For example. In the all new Complete Scoundrel there is a Buguiler class. Now I understand why they only gave that class spells from the PHB and the CS. However there are a couple in Complete Adventurer that I think would be excelent for that base spell list. But CA came out earlyer so it can't be a breakout in CA (which DOES have a breakout for adding spells to the hexblade class from CW which is very similar).

I would love to see a book that gives information on combining the various other suplements (without duplicating their content).

a book for true nuetral (like how the book oe exalted deeds was all about good)
a book for lawful

a book that expands on existing, new classes (hexblade, beguiler ect.)

book o' feats (I think Battle Manual would be a good title)

the MTG idea sounds good to me.

New Epic Level Handbook

New Arms and Equipment guide:like to see the 3.5 prices

Book of Monstrous Humanoids like my favorite, the Minotaur

Book about revamping the crappy classes such as the fighter
and the ranger. Thus making classes on these boards that
were created official. Like OneWinged4ngels Paladin,Seerows Fighter and Ottos barbarian, swashbuckler.
something like my Hexblade would be nice too.

Feat Compendium

Prestige class compendium that brings back old prestige
classes and revamps them, like the Gladiator or the Devoted Defender

Dragonlance books would be nice too. although that setting
is dead to them. Mostly thinking like adventures

Also I would love 3.5 adventures modules

Has the warmage ever gotten any new spells?

Perhapse just a list of spells from the new suplements that can be switched out for a Beguiler spell. I don't want to change the class focus or anything. But a some of the spells are 'right up the beguilers ally' I would be willing to consider just an alternate skill list that takes advantage of some new spells too.
Distract oponent seems like a beguiler style spell and is in the right school to pick up but you get a VERY limited number of pickups. The pick lock is too as it requires a skill check and they already get knock at higher level.

*re: Equipment guide.
Most of the stuff from the equipment guide is in adventurer or scoundrell some of it expanded. The missing part is the vehicles.

Whoops. I think I missed your point. No AFAIK scoundrell does not add anything to the beguiler spell list.
I was reading adventurer last night and the spells I mentioned above plus perhapse the shadow form would be very 'beguiler like' spells and I think it would be cool to see them in that style of class. They are all on the assasin list but I picked beguiler over assasin because liked the non-damage illusion focus better. But as more spells are added as assasin options its looking better to me.

I would like a Game Day Book. That is, a quick reference book with all conditions, feats, skill DCs, combat actions, special abilities, qualities and creature type summaries, and maybe - maybe - a few ready-to-go NPCs, all in one book, charted in neat, clear chapters not bogged down with paragraph after paragraph of lengthy detail on blah-blah-blah.

Like a DM's screen, only actually helpful and in book form, and covering everything rules-wise that counts in a pinch. Call it a glossary for everything.

That way, I wouldn't have to truck seven different books to every session, and could have something easily referenced for spontaneous and impromptu games, when I can't have all of my stuff with me.

A book to keep in the car.

-Races of the Planes (aasimar/spikers/tieflings etc)Aasimars and tieflings are already in Races of Destiny. They also appear, along with a bunch of other planar races (including, I think, spikers) in the Planar Handbook. They're also in a bunch of Forgotten Realms supplements.

The point I'm trying to make is - we don't need another book with aasimars and tieflings in it.

I'd like a revised, rebalanced Epic Level Handbook done by people who understand the system. Not those who think that Automatic Quicken should only give you its benefits for 1 spell level per time.

I'd like a book on the yugoloths and other neutral evil fiends. I wouldn't mind if it included rakshasas.

A book on Formians would be interesting too - and I wouldn't mind knowing more about the two exemplar races of true neutrality either.

Seconded, I honestly couldn't agree more. It would probably save space all over the forum from people (including myself) asking about balance on their latest class idea).

A book that goes into detail about how to incorperate different cliche's and traits into your character without being 'omfg Eberon' style nonsense. Finally give actual rules for blind characters and advice on how to have adapted for use in game but not blindsight 2000ft. and other such flavours.

THE COMPLETE FIX! - fix everythign wrong with 3.5! (or should i just say 4th edition players handbook!)

COMPLETE CREATION - A book with optional *imho non suckey maybey iyo its good, but i dont think so* item creation rules, ones that can be balanced without the big hindrance they are now. Aswell better creation rules for constructs, i've seen non official books with point buy construct creation systems, and i love it, but i think wizard could do a better job.

COMPLETE CLASS AND FEAT COMPENDIUM - as stated earlier

BETTER COMPLETE BOOKS ON EACH RACE

THE COMPLETE MONSTER - a book that has a better guide system for monster creation, im sure they could create one, but also better summon lists, optional summon rules with those monsters *ive always been partial to specific monster summons, each time you take the summon spell, you pick a new monster***really love astral construct* And mote ways to turn ANY monsters into pc classes

What I would like to see is;
3.5 Epic Level Handbook
Fiendish Codex III: Yugoloth-oriented title
Prestige Class Compendium
Tome of Divinity: For alternative divine-magic users
3.5 Savage species using newer monsters from other books from all 'round, perhaps some epic monsters aswell.
Unearthed Arcana II with even more variants. I love them so.

Base Class, Prc, and Feat Compendiums
Dominara: The Campaign Setting (Or just a bigass book of spells and creatures from the M:tG Universe)
Complete Initiator (ToB)
A Point-Buy Variant/Class creation system(Or just an Unearthed Arcana 2)
Alchemical Items useful past level 3
Some kind of book focused around expanding on all the previous systems they've barely touched. (Binding, Incarnum, Complete Base Classes)

A Book doing Rebuilds/Variants(Martial adept versions of the PHB base classes would be nice) of some of the admittedly underpowered/poorly designed classes would be nice as well. (Even if they just commission Otto and use his)

Primarily, I'd like an M:tG Based book, everyone in my group plays and loves the game, but none of us want to sit around figuring stats for everything from Kavus to Slivers to Nicol Bolas.

Also, I'd like to see a book on divinations and the handling thereof... I've been in a few situations as a DM where a divination class spell almost ruined the entire thing... Mostly because I stuggled to actually make a "proper" prophecy...

I'd like to see some BoVD/BoED type books for Order and Chaos, if only because it seems like it'd be difficult to write.

I'd definately like to see more blade magic content. The Book of Nine Swords was really good; more like that couldn't hurt.

I'm with the people that suggested an update to the Epic Level Handbook. Idunno if it would be worth it to collect all the updated epic material from the Complete books, but it would definately be worth it to update the items, monsters and NPCs and maybe throw in an extra epic adventure or two. Or here's an idea; come up with actual mechanics for epic psionics that's more robust than, "take the epic magic stuff and rename it." That'd be swell.

I think the Monster Manuals could use a culling. I'd like to see a single massive tome with fully updated, errata'ed, proofread monster entries, with minimal fluff, omitting a few less popular or less well-put-together monsters. For example, I don't think anyone is really going to miss sphinxes.

I cannot abide the notion of d20 Pocket Monsters.

Reiterating the request for a feat compendium as long as it's a) fighter focused and b) has lots of new stuff. Basically the Spell Compendium for melee types (which would include boosting feats that were unusably weak to a stronger level). Throw in an appendix with all the weapons and call it the Combat Compendium.

Well, as much as I love the idea of more campaign settings, that is what almost shut down TSR. They over extended themselves by trying to sustain 6 or 7 worlds at a time. Planescape, by god, I loved it, but it wasn't very easy on the pocketbook. 5 or 6 boxsets to get all the planes was just incredibly steep. Campaign setting-wise, I like what WotC are doing. Let third party companies make the worlds. Dragonlance makes sense being published by weis's company. I haven't heard too many good things about white wolf Ravenloft, though, which is a little depressing, because they do horror games so well.
What I'd really like to see is Dark Sun getting picked up by a company. Athas was such a cool campaign world.

Tome of Battle II. More about the classes, more options, more support etc. I know someone said this earlier, but it's the best book by Wizards. Ever. At least IMO and I know I'm not alone in thinking so.

A new PHB with a spell system that isn't outrageously, ridiculously backwards and retarded.

When 4.0 comes out (which it will have to eventually, considering there'd be money to make that way), make one giant tome of all the 3.5 splat books, edited and such to be all-inclusive. The Duskblade would get feats and spells from Complete Warrior, the hexblade could get spells from Races of the Wild and so on. Bringing a huge tome to d&d night would add a lot to the atmosphere of the game too, imo. And how cool wouldn't it be to have a complete book of all the monster manuals, all-in-one? Especially if it was leatherbound and looked nice. Never going to happen of course, but I can dream, can't I?

Fourth Edition Core Rule Books.

Personally if they came out with this series id be increadibly unhappy.

but i can see a 3.75 coming out way sooner than a 4.0. Maybe even sometime with the next 6 years. and then 10 years till 4 after that.

It'd cost something like $400 but I'd probably buy it.

Fiendish Codex III is the last book I want so long as the new stat block format continues to be used,

Absolutely! Not only is there a need for a massive war system that puts the players in command of armies, but there's a real lack of domain rules. The ol' Basic D&D rules covered both of those.

In fact, I'd like to see a lot of the products from that system revitalized in 3.5 form. Not only the domain rules and the War Machine (and its Sea Machine spin off), but the trading system presented in their Gazeteers (Darokin and Minrothatd) was awesome too.

And while I'm on that subject, I loved those Gazeteers. I'd love to see equally detailed expansions on the current campaign worlds. And as much as most people are against metaplots, I loved the way the Known World history evolved in the Poor Wizards Almanac series, so I'd be interested in books that similarly progress history.

To sum up:
1. Armies at war and dominion ruling.
2. Economics and trade.
3. Detailed national gazeteers w/ annual timeline updates.

Thanks for listening.

More specific realm adventure books. Especially serious like the shadows of the last war ones from eberron.

hmm, or a collection of the best adventures from dungeon magazine (idk if they can do that) or something like this.

Aquatic Adventures
Not Stormwrack, with most of the action above the water. Aquatic, with all of the action below the surface. Give us rules, mechanics, and even fluff on how to run an entire adventure or campaign beneath the surface of the waves.

How about Races of Water, the Hydronomicon, Waterscape, and Fantastic Locations: Turucambi? ;)

Too bad you're in Chapel Hill. I'd love to run an undersea campaign offline, sometime.
