I was thinking of running a game in Eberron And having the main villian is a long dead general of the Aberrantion Mark army that was destoried long centeries before the campaign starts. So Any good ways or ideas of how to do this? I was looking for something that I couldbuild plot off of.

The DM can accomplish anything. Just have him be "back".
Part of the adventure could even be finding out how.

Some suggestions:
1. The deity of death made a bargain with the general's soul.
2. Wish with a geas condition.
3. An artifact did it.

In the end-game, make the destruction of the means by which it was accomplished a part of the campaign. Perhaps the god of death requests the destruction of the artifact.

Necromancy is always a good, if badly cliche one, with the finale either 1) the destruction of the necromancer,
or 2) the general's 'life' is sustained by use of a phylactery/limited by an artifact, in which case 2A) the PCs must destroy the phylactery, or 2B) hold-out against the general and his horde for X to win, as he will be sent back into death/have his mind thrown back reducing him to a zombie if he cannot gain possession of the artifact.

you could probably rez him with a powerful enough incantation, provided it goes into epic levels to like wish his soul to be able to return, then rez him after that.

if he's a particularly good or bad person (likely bad), you could make him a demon that managed to return to the prime plane and can alter his form to resemble his old self.

maybe he wasn't a human, but a now long lived dragon in disguise, or maybe something worse.

Just a few ideas.
