Bring out your gith! [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-25-07, 10:01 AM I shan't bore you with the details of my campaign running since 2001, but suffice it to say a good time was had by all. Currently a major campaign arc will be dealing with the githyanki and is more like a mini campaign in its own right. Climaxing with a threatened full scale invasion of the material plane only they are aware of, the pcs will tackle Vlaakith on her home turf, or collaborate, these guys are nuts.

Now, normally I wouldn't ask for help but I'm swamped at the moment with a half dozen things, the least of which writing all my tie in pieces and new adventure details (I'm using a half dozen gith missions from dungeon mostly as my cartography).

I'm putting out the call to all of you for unusual or cool githyanki stat blocks. The party is in the upper teens, but I can literally use all of your Gith stat blocks this side of epic.

That's right, I'm asking you to empty out your closets and drawers, your pantries and larders, and even that special sock drawer for all your spare gith and gith related npcs.

ECL of anything is great, 1-20 (or is that 17?) being great, with me needing the most of anything in the ECL 12-17 range.

Do you have spare characters? A nasty githyanki blackguard and his surly red dragon cohort? The more the merrier! Concept characters, tests, that great villain you never got to use or that weird ass soulknife/assassin your dm never let you play. Whatever you have. I need to populate months of regular play with challenging foes and my standbys are getting stale. (MM entries, dungeon adventure statblocks, and the like) Considering the number of encounters I will be running I sincerely doubt anything will go to waste.

I'll be ever so nice enough to post the grisly details of their use for your amusement, of course, and if they get to do in a PC I'll even dredge something out of my internet bag of moderate amusement for ya.

06-25-07, 01:23 PM You sound really excited about this, so I'll go ahead and recommend something that may be of interest here. Check out Dragon Magazine #309 and Dungeon Magazine #100. Between the two, they present Incursion, a massive campaign and adventure in which the githyanki invade your world (well, not your world, but ya know what I mean ;)). You can order back issues directly from paizo.com.

Again, I highly recommend the mags, and just thought they might be of interest here. Oh, and I'm assuming of course, that you may not already be aware of them. ;)

06-25-07, 05:49 PM MM4 has some pre-genned Githyanki. Also, you could throw in some Astral foes as well. A recent Dragon issue pegged the Devourers as long-dead Githyanki foes to the crown. I'd say a 6-pack of them might suffice as a sufficient threat. :devil:

In at least minor ways (usually cartography and some minor story elements) about a half dozen dungeon adventures will be used. Due to my needing to knock them up a few levels I was wanting to skip out on some of the work, but seemingly no one has any gith stat blocks lying around, so I'll just have to do it all myself.
