Ok, I was looking for some cool Gnome pics in the Art and Maps gallery, and I found this pic from Races of Stone (I don't own it or my players wouldwant an all Whisper Gnoem party).

Is this pic busted or what? Check out the mushrooms. They sort of add a... I don't know... GARDEN GNOME quality!!

I am a fan of gnomes, but seriously, this is just sad. Franz Vohwinklel is the artist. I'm not familiar with this guy, but MAN, is this piece weird...

Opinions?

03-07-07, 03:05 AM I think the shrooms are just really large, if you compare the gnomes to the trees they are as wide as the trees.

On a secound note, I don't think you'd have to worry about an all whisper gnome party if you bought RoS, I own it and the race rarely comes up despite it being a really good one.

03-07-07, 04:18 AM What's wrong with the mushrooms? They are perfectly fine. They seem like standard amanita muscaria to me. Maybe a little on the large side, but not unheard of.

Anyway.. I think the picture is really cool! In a fantasy world you shouldn`t be to disturbed if you see a pair of big mushrooms.. I mean.. Legendary animals anyone?

And I've already had a player request I buy the book so the party can be renovated...
