zombieoverlord 07-23-06, 03:36 AM	:bump: :bump: :bump: :bump: :bump: I've been seeing that thing everywhere! Could someone please tell be what it means?!
Dead_Karma 07-23-06, 03:45 AM	everytime a message is posted to a thread it gets bumped up in the list. so using :bump: can help keep a thread going.
zombieoverlord 07-23-06, 04:26 AM	Thank You!
Milo HoBo 07-23-06, 04:52 AM	To expand, as time progresses other posters are replying to threads. Most boards are set up where the most recently replyed to threads are put at the top of the board (right under sticky-ed threads). A bump is an empty reply used to take advantage of this mechanism.
Encard 07-23-06, 05:05 AM	Yep. I will note that it's normally seen as rude to bump a thread before at least a day has passed since the last posts.
Edymnion 07-23-06, 02:38 PM	Yep. I will note that it's normally seen as rude to bump a thread before at least a day has passed since the last posts. Its not only rude, its flat out against the rules on these boards.
